What did you do on your snow day? I made proper biscuits for my tea. Hobnobs and shortbread! I made a new year's promise to drink tea everyday and it just felt natural to have proper accompaniments.

I love books! And used books! I have the audiobook of Ten Thousand Doors of January and have listened to it 5 or 6 times. I decided I needed it for my apocalypse shelf (books I can't live without for the apocalypse, when we have no internet or power). So I was delighted to find it when I needed to spend 8 more dollars to get free shipping on my textbooks. Anyway, my husband picked it up to read and I was telling him that I love the line where she uses the word temerarious (a word so strange autocorrect keeps telling me it doesn't exist). Then I opened the book to find the line and saw the previous owner had left little notes of words they had to look up and hopefully enjoyed too! Thank you .e.harrow for bringing strangers together over big, strange words. And know that if I survive the apocalypse, your books will too!

Hey y'all! It's been awhile! I have been super busy with school and my garden has not gotten the love it deserves this year. I was however gifted this beautiful David Austin rose by the universe and the wind gods when it was smashed at a local nursery and marked way down. I am happy to report she is thriving. I have plans for fall so stay tuned. There may be a surprise pumpkin patch involved.

I did it. I posted a picture this spring. More to come as soon as I finish this semester at school. I can't wait for a summer off to spend in the garden! Big adventures are coming this summer!

It's happening! Spring is springing! My first seed babies popping up. We have some bachelor buttons that will stay inside until they are very big and strong and some ranunculus and anemone that are about to move into the chilly greenhouse. I'm trying to sprout poppy seeds inside this year because they have failed to grow in any bed with direct sowing for the last couple years. We shall see if they transplant. But I just love watching seeds come up all tender and little just shoving dirt out of the way to get to the sunshine (or grow lights in this case), they are so strong and mighty for being so little. Happy seeding everyone!

Happy imbolc! It was a warmish day in the mountains so we played in the garden and greenhouse and then started some seeds inside. Oh and ate ice cream too. It was a good day!
