Happy Flatlay Friday!

’Tis the season when we start thinking about bowl filler, layered textures, and all the little details that make a space feel collected — and I have such a unique offering today.

Everything was more beautiful in the past… even paint rollers.

These vintage pattern rollers, dating to around the 1930s, are full of incredible carved detail, faded color, and the kind of patina that simply can’t be reproduced. Each one is a little piece of functional art.

Style them in a bowl or tureen, tuck one into a stack of antique books, layer them into a shelf vignette, or simply display one on its own. Their soft, timeworn colors and sculptural texture make them an easy addition to nearly any decor style — from traditional and European-inspired to rustic, collected, or eclectic.

Each roller is unique, and sizing varies slightly.

Standard size: approximately 6” long × 1.5” wide
Large size: approximately 6” long × 2.5” wide

This collection feels deeply personal to me.

These antique parasol handles came to me through countless conversations with a gentleman in Chicago, and I’m still kind of in awe of them. Each piece carries its own story, its own wear, its own quiet beauty.

I’m excited, but honestly a little nervous to share them. This is one of the most significant collections I’ve brought into the shop to date, and it has been such a privilege to spend a little time with these pieces before sending them on to their next homes.

I hope you feel even a little of the thrill I felt when I first saw them.

I curated two feather bundle styles this season:

George Leigh Signature Feather Bundle — $42
7 feathers in a layered mix of ringneck pheasant, golden pheasant, red-top pheasant, and natural guinea hen.

Golden Pheasant Feather Bundle — $48
12 feathers featuring 10 golden pheasant tails and 2 natural guinea hen feathers for a fuller, more tonal look.

Because these are natural feathers, color, pattern, shape, and length will vary slightly from bundle to bundle.

Pair of United Wilson Chinoiserie Porcelain Ginger Jars on Ornate Footed Bases

A phenomenal matched pair of large United Wilson porcelain ginger jars, beautifully decorated with colorful fruit, florals, butterflies and insects over the maker’s signature-style crackle-glazed porcelain.

Each jar is elevated on an exceptionally decorative 2¾” tall metal footed base with scrolling Rococo-style detail, complemented by ornate metal mounts beneath the lids and fluted finials.

Standing an impressive 19” tall overall, these have wonderful scale and presence. Sold as a pair, they would be stunning on a dining room buffet, kitchen cabinetry, library console, mantel or flanking a large piece of artwork.

Marked United Wilson / UW 1897.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, breaks or repairs noted. The crackled surface is part of the intended decorative finish.

Antique Betjemann’s Patent Three-Bottle Tantalus | London

A striking antique English three-bottle tantalus by Betjemann’s of London, featuring three substantial cut-crystal decanters with faceted stoppers set within a richly figured dark wood locking stand.

The metal mechanism bears the Betjemann’s Patent crown mark, London, and patent no. 63519. The locking mechanism remains operational; key is not present.

Approx. 15” L × 12” H × 6” D.

Beautiful antique condition with age-appropriate patina and wear. One decanter has a chip beneath the rim, and there is a small area of finish loss to one corner of the wooden base. Please review photographs carefully for condition ( photos 4, 8, & 9)

A fabulous statement piece for a bar, library, study, or dining room—and a wonderful piece of Victorian entertaining history.
