A special family member passed away today. Our fur-baby, Jack gifted us 16 years of wonderful memories. He had a commanding presence and would puff out his chest so everyone knew he was in charge. Our hearts ache but comforted knowing Jack will always be remembered and loved.

Life doesn't always happen like we hope for but things have a way of working out. Vehicle issues stranded us on the side of I20 in Texas heat with my parents is not a great way to start our trip headed to the airport. We made our flight by the skin of our teeth to shortly discover we encountered a fuel leak during our flight. Landlocked, we departed the next day. We made the best of things with quite the story to tell.
