5TH Annual Countryside SprayOff Competition
It’s time to announce how this year’s event will be judged.
I have heard some rumors about it being rigged because of the winners. I can guarantee this year’s event will be judged with the upmost integrity and fairness you deserve as a competitor and as a sponsor.— with Rusty Schrader and

Judging will be done by 3 industry experts and 2 randomly selected people.
Judges WILL NOT be allowed in the spraying area or near any video production. Judges WILL NOT know which competitor sprayed which section. Judges will only have a number to judge. (Competitor doesn’t know the numbers we assign to their area).
Each competitor will be judged on the following 3 criteria.
1st Criteria
Appearance
How well does your section look to the judge. Is it smooth? Did you have overspray on the studs? Are you over your designated stopping area?
2nd Criteria
Depth
How close to the predetermined depth are your cavities or spray area?
3rd Criteria
Speed
Your time will be determined by how fast you complete spraying the recommended area and call time.
Points system is as follows:
Appearance will be judged from 1 to 15 (1 for the best looking and 15 for the worst looking)
Scores will be based on the Smoothness and Overall Appearance of your work.
Depth will be judged with a poker, marked and measured.
PAY ATTENTION!!!! Here’s where the fun begins.
SPEED
This year we are setting up BRACKET STYLE DRAG RACING!!!.
Sprayers will be set up in a bracket style layout.
Each bracket will be filled out by randomly selecting names out of a hat. #1 will be the first name we draw then #2 and so on.
We will have 4 spraying areas (2 Open/2 Closed Cell) set up.
Each competitor sprays a pre-determined area for testing. (Time limit TBD)
THEN, Each competitor will then get ready to start on the sound the air horn.
When the horn sounds competitors will spray a designated area to a specific depth.(dictated to competitors at competition)
The competitor that calls time 2nd will add 2 points to their score. (Time limit TBD at competition)
Each competitor will know who finishes 1st but won’t know how they scored on the other 2 criteria.
Lowest scores between 2 competitors wins and advances to next round.
If we have any kind of equipment failure with either competitor, competition will stop until problem solved then match will be restarted from the beginning.
