This whole 5' marble slab was leaking not only from the spa side but it was also leaking underneath as well. This water can either go back into the pool or outside of the pool. When you see calcium buildup under a spillway, this can be the water leaking from above and coming out of the tile grout

Check this guy out! I was testing a light for leaks when I heard something splash in the water. Turns out he goes for a swim over ten times a day.

Spa sillway leaks can cause three things! The water can simply go behind the tiles then drip out of the grout into the pool, causing ugly calcium buildup on the tiles. Second, the water can go between the shell and pool finish causing delamination. Lastly, they can cause beam cracks over time.

Well this is gross… When we remove these old lights from their niche, we often find debris. To test the light properly we have to clear this out first. This niche had a lot of rust deriving from the lights wires.

This is a pool caretaker, which is a return positioned on the floor, to ideally keep the floor clean by forcing debris to the main drain. You can see the small crack that leaks but what is harder to see is the whole rim leaks (green dye is a horrible choice for white fittings 😅)

A leak located in the step's grout line. Small leaks like this can costs hundreds of dollars in water. Typically when there is one leak like this, there are a few more around the same area.

Wait til the end! This glass block has been cracked for years. The water has leaked behind the pool finish and caused a 9' crack just feet away from this leak.

A 9' vertical crack caused by a leak above it at the spa spillway. Years of water behind the pool finish eventually created and expanded the crack. Epoxying cracks like this rarely works—hydrostatic pressure can force holes through the epoxy, sometimes in as little as 24 hours.
