💧 Irrigation Service: What You Need to Know
Before irrigation service is requested and installed, the irrigation box (typically purple) will either be empty or may contain an unauthorized connection. Once service is installed, the City adds a brass valve known as a Kit A.
🔍 How to check your irrigation status:
• Review your utility bill
→ If you see irrigation charges, service has likely been requested and is authorized
→ If you do not see irrigation charges and the box is not empty (hose bib, PVC pipe, hoses, or fittings), the connection is likely unauthorized
⚠️ Unauthorized connections must be removed before requesting service.

💡 Connecting to sprinklers?
If yes, select “dual water sprinkler connection” on your application. This requires a no-cost dual water permit.
• The City installs the Kit A
• A plumber or irrigation company connects your system
• A City utility inspection ensures everything is properly installed
📍 Mandatory Irrigation Zones
If your property is in a mandatory irrigation connection zone:
• You are required to connect to irrigation service
• If you have lawn sprinklers, they must be connected to the City’s irrigation system
You can check your property status using the “What is My Utility Extension” tool at https://bit.ly/485cSOg.
Ensuring your irrigation system is properly connected helps protect the water supply.
