Vivienne Westwood said the rest of it shorter than we ever could. Buy less, choose well, make it last. Which mostly translates to: one thing you actually like beats four you're tolerating.

Choosing well gets a lot easier when you can try the thing first ;)

Two things at the register nobody ever asks about, and one of them pays you back the same day.

The newsletter gets you 10% off your first order. That's the whole catch. After that it's mostly what just came in, the occasional low-waste tip, and when we're closed for a holiday.

Rewards is the slower burn. Two points per dollar, and they never expire, which matters more than it sounds when you shop somewhere a few times a year. 400 points is a free toothbrush. 500 gets you up to 16 ounces of free laundry powder. 750 is one of our cotton totes.

The holiday order is coming in. We have nowhere to put it.

So there's a table at each shop this weekend and everything on it is marked down. Swipe to find yours. These are the actual tables as of right now, not a sale we're planning to set up later.

What's on them: Klean Kanteen bottles and kids cups (family owned, made in Chico, and they will outlive the kid). PlanetBox stainless bentos. Stasher bags, the ones that go straight in the dishwasher. Fluf lunch bags. Leaf razors, which have nothing to do with lunch, but the blades cost pennies and we're not going to talk you out of it. Plus more than we're going to sit here and type.

If it's on the table, it's marked down. Everything else in the shop is regular price, refills included.

Clearance table is out, all weekend.

It's the odds and ends. Things we loved that never quite found their person, the last one of something we're not reordering, the lonely single of a set. All marked down, all sitting under that very serious hand-drawn sign.

The part worth reading twice, because Labor Day makes it confusing:
Los Gatos and Capitola are open Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
Los Altos is open Saturday and Sunday, closed Monday for the holiday.
