Since starting Knotty and Grain Studios the number one question we get asked is "are you ever going to have a woodworking class?" This class is for someone who wants to get into woodworking or just wants bragging rights for building their own cutting board. You will decide everything about your cutting board: wood species, size, juice trap, and engraving. We will provide all safety equipment along with snacks and drinks. This class is in 2 parts.
Saturday: (2-3 hours) First, you'll learn the basics about safety, tools, and materials. Then you'll choose, cut, and dimension your lumber. You'll finish the day gluing and clamping your board and leave it to dry.
Sunday: (2-3 hours) You'll take your board out of the clamps, clean it up, route it, sand it, add a juice groove, feet, and/or an engraving, and finish up by dunking your board in oil.
February 11th & 12th Schedule Options:
Morning Class: 10am-12:30pm
Afternoon Class: 1:30pm-4pm
