This one is bigger than a project post.

Almost a year ago, a homeowner who had been supporting Gary’s Reliable Repairs online reached out and said something along the lines of, “We always have things around the house that need done. We’ll reach out eventually.”

At the time, it was just a message.

But that is how a lot of great relationships start — with someone watching from the outside, following along, seeing the work, seeing the consistency, and waiting until the time feels right.

Fast forward to now, and we have had the opportunity to earn their trust inside their home.
That trust has turned into completed projects, a 5-star review, repeat work already on the schedule, and even another neighbor in the same development trusting us with their home as well.

That means a lot to me.

As a one-owner company, every relationship matters. Every message, every review, every referral, every comment, every like, every cup of coffee, every lunch order, every kind word — it all matters.

As we continue booking into September already, I just wanted to take a minute to genuinely thank this community, our repeat customers, referrals, and everyone who continues supporting Gary’s Reliable Repairs.

The amount of trust people place in us means more than you know. Being booked this far out is a direct reflection of the relationships we’ve built and the level of service we strive to provide every single day. Our goal has never been just to “complete a job” — it’s to earn lifelong customers every time we get the opportunity to turn a screwdriver.

This past week was another reminder of why I love what I do.

We recently completed a full measure, order, and install process for a luxury RV shade project in Destin — and wow. The level of luxury in this setup is something I’ve honestly never seen before. The custom dual roller shades completely transformed the interior and gave the RV an incredibly clean, modern finish. Seeing projects go from initial consultation all the way through final installation is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Along with that project, we also completed:
✔️ Furniture assembly
✔️ 4 ceiling fan upgrades
✔️ Troubleshooting several pesky electrical switches
✔️ A storm door replacement and trim repairs
✔️ Scheduling a return visit soon for plumbing repairs

On the commercial side, one of our favorite office clients called because they had a pallet sitting out in the grass and needed a clean, safe setup for employees to enjoy lunches and breaks. We were able to prioritize it the same week, assemble everything quickly, and create a great outdoor area with a table and umbrella setup that the staff was genuinely excited about.

We also had the chance to stop by one of our favorite communities in Middletown. The pond views alone are incredible — but what really makes the place special is the people. Janet Glass, who helps manage the community, is truly the definition of excellence. She’s the type of person who will literally put your packages in her garage if you’re relocating from another state and can’t get there in time. That level of care is rare nowadays.

In this community alone, we’ve now mounted around 10 TVs and become the go-to handyman service for over 15 homeowners. Communities like this allow me to showcase not only craftsmanship and quality, but personality and passion too — and that means everything to me.

Being a business owner has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. Arguably also one of the most rewarding.

So cheers to your local handyman — and thank you again for allowing us into your homes, offices, and communities. I truly can’t wait to meet many more of you and your families in the future.

BIG transformation on this kitchen island 🔥

Took this plain white island and completely changed the feel of the entire space with a modern slat-wall finish in matte black.
