After more than 30 years Phyllis and I have finally put Studio 2 to bed and are enjoying our retirement. We hope you have enjoyed the art , from public art murals to 10 years doing art projects for SeaWorld SD.
we have loved the adventure. A number of the young artists that joined with us over the years have gone on to do great things in the art world. We are proud of them.

Here is the latest Studio 2 creation. I was commissioned by Bridgelux to create a large artwork fir their exhibit at the Lighting and Technology Show at the San Diego Convention Center.

I had a great time working with my friend Tim Crosier from Blackbird Surfboards and my Grandson Aaron on bringing forth my vision.

Thanks to Adam and Stacey and the great Bridgelux Team for all their support in the process of creating this art piece.

We have had many different projects coming by the studio in the last few months. We had our first project at Aquatica Water Park in San Diego as well as a number of projects for SeaWorld San Diego.
We also had our booth at the San Diego Home and Garden Show in Del Mar where we helped launch Impact Painting Services that is managed by my Son-in-Law and owned by my Daughter and her husband.
And last but not least we are beginning this years ArtSplash season where Studio 2 will be managing the September to Remember Parade. We have already started the giant artistic heads that will be worn by paraders and we will be joining together with the Fern Street Circus players to create a fantastic visual experience that will energize the thousands of viewers.

The work of Studio 2 was featured in this months Dream Homes magazine. (www.DreamHomesMagazine.com) We created custom finishes and glazes throughout this beautiful home in Rancho Santa Fe. Ceilings, walls, bathrooms, dining room and bedrooms, all done in soft metallic glazes with gradients. A truly forward looking home enhanced by custom painting and glazing.

Studio 2 has been a bit quiet as vacations got the team needed rest. We have had a few projects just to keep the boat afloat. Here are of some recent work. Gold leaf wall with background reveal for character, a local restaurant with rusticated wall and signage and a rock stack for your viewing enjoyment.

Phyllis and I have been busy this month creating two wild bird themed murals. After last month at SeaWorld, creating two large murals of whales and fishes I think Studio 2 is becoming a nature lovers paradise! It has been fun and a nice change . I hope you enjoy them.
