Before, this mudroom had plenty of cabinets but no real plan. The dog's crate sat in the middle of the floor, the dog bed took over a corner, and the counters had become storage by default. We gave the dog a built-in crate with brass mesh doors and a water station with its own pot filler. Now the room's most-used routine has a permanent home instead of being worked around. Tall cabinetry and uppers that run straight across the window wall add a lot of storage without making the room feel closed in. A soft sage green, warm brass, and light surfaces make a busy pass-through room feel calm every time you walk in.
