Last post this evening! 🎉 A wonderful bombe form chest/commode with richly figured burl veneer, chunky serpentine lines, and graceful cabriole legs! Warm honey and chestnut tones highlight the dramatic grain patterns throughout. Featuring two drawers with ornate brass pulls, this chest offers both beauty and function. Inspired by the Rococo style, it works well in an entry, bedroom, living room, or powder room. The scale is particularly appealing—substantial enough to make a statement while still fitting comfortably into smaller spaces! Beautifully styled as a bedside chest, lamp table, or entryway accent. Likely dating to the mid-20th century, this vintage piece evokes earlier European examples. Unmarked but solid wood with quality construction. Presented in a simple gesso on wood frame, this wonderful, old painting has great depth and mood, with sailboats, shoreline cottages, and distant mountain peaks emerging through the haze. The canvas displays age-appropriate wear that adds to its character and appeal. A lovely storied, statement piece! While the painting is unsigned and undated, the construction, materials, and overall presentation suggests antique in age. Artist and provenance remain unknown. A stunning pair of antique handcolored maritime engravings featuring bustling European harbor scenes with sailing vessels, fishermen, and coastal scenes. Titled Les Plaisirs de la Pêche (“The Pleasures of Fishing”) and Le Délassement du Pêcheur (“The Fisherman’s Leisure”), the prints capture the romantic coastal landscapes and soft pastel palette popular in 18th-century French engravings. Beautifully matted and presented in coordinating gilt frames, these pieces offer a collected, European look that works wonderfully in a study, library, guest room, or coastal-inspired interior. Some light wear is present on the gilding of the frames, but only adds to its wonderful history. Possibly rosewood. Their sculptural silhouette and airy design make them equally functional and decorative, bringing an unexpected architectural element to a room. A wonderful set of three French Provincial carved nesting tables featuring beautifully figured book-matched burled veneer tops framed by darker banding and supported by elegantly carved cabriole legs! Graceful scroll carvings, shaped aprons, and softly serpentine tops give these tables a refined European feel while remaining wonderfully practical for everyday use. Likely antique or early vintage in age, these tables display the craftsmanship and decorative detailing associated with European-inspired furniture of the late 19th to early 20th century. The richly patterned veneer showcases striking movement and depth, making each tabletop a work of art in itself. Nest them together beside a sofa or chair, spread them throughout a room as accent tables, or use them for entertaining when extra surface space is needed. Their classic profile blends are timeless. Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. One table has a small veneer loss at a corner along with light surface wear consistent with age and use, as shown. Signed “Curry” in the lower right, this piece appears to be the work of American Regionalist artist John Steuart Curry (1897–1946). This is likely a reproduced piece and not an original. The composition depicts a coastal or lakeside shed at the end of a weathered pier, rendered with expressive linework and atmospheric detail.
