Two Brothers Plumbing

Twenty-seven years Eddie Mankel and Paula Leslie have owned and managed Mankel Mechanical dba Two Brothers Plumbing. Eddie brings with him 52 years in the plumbing world. Paula brings 38 years of office management with 30 of those in the plumbing industry. Their fairy tale life began while both were working at a now rival plumbing company.
Eddie, a native Casa Grandean, has residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing experience. He received his Arizona plumbing license in May 1999. He also held a Master Plumber license for the state of Texas for 17 years. Eddie was one of the best plumbers in Casa Grande in his younger days. He has now passed that knowledge and skill to his sons, Shea and Vaughn, who Eddie would put up against any plumber in town, county, maybe even state.
Paula moved here in 1980 following her father’s retirement from the Air Force. Her mom was born and raised in Casa Grande, making Paula a third generation inhabitant. She attended Arizona State University where she earned her degree in journalism and marketing management. She fell in love with the business world while working in the office at TG&Y, and knew that one day she wanted to own her own business. Not in her wildest dreams did she think it would be a plumbing company. But, ask her about plumbing fixtures, and you will soon discover one of her passions.
Both Eddie and Paula have a strong work ethic, and a mutual desire to continue to provide the best plumbing service to their customers, whether they be contractors, business owners, government facilities, or homeowners.
Eddie has earned the chance to put his feet up and relax for the most part now. He still does most of the bidding for the larger commercial projects. Lots of years in the ditch, on the backhoe, and in the office have rewarded him this. Paula still runs around crazy making sure all the paperwork for the office gets done. She gets a little help every now and then from her granddaughter and her granddaughter’s friend after their school day is complete.
With a combined 90 years of experience, we’re fairly certain we know what we are doing most of the time.

Shea and Vaughn learned the plumbing trade from a Master Plumber - their father, Eddie Mankel. They completed each step: helper to apprentice to journeyman. Under the tutelage of Eddie, the steps were not easy, but Shea and Vaughn were exposed to residential, commercial, and industrial plumbing. Their knowledge of the trade is as impressive as their skill. Shea has come a long way from that 14-year-old attic rat placing J-hooks and FHA straps for residential water piping. He now runs commercial and industrial plumbing jobs. He has plumbed factories, schools, storage facilities, restaurants, and more. Vaughn has come a long way from the 12-year-old who used a scrap piece of wood as a pillow and napped in the middle of a new residential house jobsite. He prefers the service and maintenance side of the plumbing trade but is as capable as his brother at running a large commercial project. Under Two Brothers, Vaughn does re-pipes, bathroom remodels, water heaters, water, sewer, and gas line repair and replacement, sink, toilet, and faucet replacement. His brother thought it would be fun to do a short video about Vaughn's sleepy beginning to the man at the helm of Two Brothers Plumbing. Hope you enjoy it!

I try not to put too much family stuff on the business page, but I feel like I owe our customers an apology and an explanation. Having a family business has great advantages, but also great disadvantages. Eddie, one of the owners, and the two brothers' father, was in a serious side-by-side accident on July 3. He has been in the hospital since that day, and is still in the hospital. We shut down for his surgery day, and have been playing catch up ever since. I have been to the hospital almost every day, so sometimes your phone calls, text messages, and emails have not been answered in a timely fashion. I'm sure some of them have been missed completely. We are beginning to see the light at the end of this tunnel, and hope to be back to whatever our normal was soon. We appreciate all of our customers and try to service you in a timely manner and with the best customer service. We have not done that these past days. I hope you understand the reasoning. Thank you for your continued trust in our business.
