We are so thankful for the organizations and teachers who pour their lives into the kids of our community! We love the idea of young students getting to explore and experience gardening, and appreciate being asked to participate in such a worthy cause!

🌱 A HUGE thank you to the amazing community partners and volunteers who helped make our school garden thrive this year!

We are so grateful to Curb Appeal for generously donating the soil, Valley Lumber for providing supplies to expand our planter boxes, and Gann Construction and Mrs. Gann for spearheading, organizing, constructing, planting, and maintaining the garden throughout the season.

Because of your hard work, generosity, and dedication, our students have a beautiful space to continue to learn, grow, and connect with nature. This project would not have been possible without the support of local businesses and community members who continually invest in our schools.

Hey, Neighbors! We are helping to host a fundraiser for the Cashmere Museum at Yonder Cider on June 18th from 5-7 pm. We are raising money to rebuild the irrigation system for the Pioneer Village. It is a major need. Neighbors...this soil comes out to 164.52 PER YARD at our "local" big box store. Our product is superior, doesn't come packaged in plastic, and is a huge savings at $68 per yard. Save money AND the environment by shopping local and buying bulk. Why give a huge corporation 100 extra dollars " just because "?

Why choose us? Because we invest in quality AND community. We work hard to find the balance between turning a profit while still respecting our customers. We don't add hidden fees on top of our already low prices, in spite of rising diesel costs. We may own a business, but we are also consumers living in the same economy as our customers.

The whole "Neighbor" thing isn't just a gimmick- it's what we believe and how we strive to treat all of you. It's why our customer service is one of everyone's favorite things about us- We'll squeeze you into a full delivery schedule if we can. If you call us to say you're 5 minutes away and it's closing time, we wait for you. We deliver small quantities for your convenience. We still believe that a handshake means something, in apologizing when we make mistakes, and treating people how we'd like to be treated. We also are big on giving back to non-profits and schools all over the valley... in spite of our profit margins shrinking while we hold costs down for our community. Because, we wouldn't be here without our customers, and we're grateful for every single one of you!

We are so grateful for our small (but spectacular) team here! Our big rig driver is out sick, but we have some big orders to fulfill. So, Brad left last night to beat the snow on the pass so our supplier could load him first thing this morning. Gage agreed to show up early to load delivery trucks at 6:30 am because Brad wasn't going to be back in time. We don't take this kind of dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for granted. Gage Yonaka is in his 4th season with us and is an integral part of everything we do here. He's steady and calm, a man of his word, and one of the kindest people we know. We are so grateful to have a person of his caliber alongside us.

Neighbors, just look at this gorgeous arrangement! Feathers & Flowers is a wonderful local small business, and we were delighted to be able to purchase a spring flower subscription. Hand-delivered today by the hands that grew them, every customer that has come in has commented on their beauty. We hope to be able to actively support more of our local farmers this season, and encourage all of you to join us! Give them a follow on Facebook and Instagram- you won't regret it!

Good news, Neighbors- we are extending our hours starting tomorrow: Weekdays 8-5, Saturdays 8-2. A big thank you to Nicholson Orchards for letting use this beautiful photo. Please show this local farm some love by following them on social media, joining their fruit and flower CSA, or frequenting their farm stand in Peshastin, (open daily from June through October).

We may make our living selling products, but our actual job is mostly education! When you drive up, "What can we get you?" is immediately followed up with, "What are you using it for?" because we want to make sure you are getting the right product for YOUR project. One customer came in for compost. We could have just taken her money, and let her leave, but took a moment to chat. We learned she was new to gardening and planned on filling her raised beds with compost and planting directly in it. Seasoned gardeners know that compost is very rich/hot and that things don't germinate well directly in it. It's an amendment intended to be mixed in at a 50/50 ratio with your exsisting soil. If we hadn't taken that moment to chat, not only would she have been terribly disappointed in her garden, but she would have blamed our product! Mind you, we have the cleanest, most beautiful compost offered in bulk in the valley, but if used wrong, it's not going to give the desired results. We take the time to visit because we truly care about our customers AND their outcomes!

We've missed you, Neighbors! It's been SO great to see so many familiar faces our first week open for the season, and we look forward to seeing more of you as it warms up. Also, a big thanks to Cashmere Landscaping & Solutions for getting our iris bed under the sign ready for its close-up on such short notice! (See photo in the comments)
