So I've been trying to keep a secret for a few months... I was commissioned by a fan to create a painted cross for Carrot Top ( ) and he has finally received it!

The person that commissioned me is a huge Carrot Top fan and goes to see his show every year. She makes sure to always bring him a gift as a way of saying thank you for all the joy he gives people through his comedy. I am honored to be the artist she chose this year to be a part of her tradition.

Creating this cross was so much fun, as I love including orange in my work, but have yet to have implemented it into a cross design. I know when people are shopping for home decor, orange is not a go-to, so to say I was excited to make an all orange cross is an understatement.

Mr. Carrot Top, I hope that you enjoy this custom cross inspired by your name sake and I pray that it encourages you to continue to pursue the Lord every day.

I want to show my new painting but don't really want to be on camera today. Here is "The Inquiring Eye," an original 8x8 painting that I completed recently. The original and prints are both available at this weekend.

I was inspired to paint this piece because I have been enjoying working with orange and blue color schemes lately, which is in part because I've been drawing a lot more fish. After the success of my last painting, "Spring Nap," I decided to start a cat series, this being the second addition with more to come soon! 🐱

If you would like a pet portrait, you can reach out to send me a picture of your pet and I can have it ready for you to pick up this weekend at the market. Each portrait takes about 15 minutes, so if you have multiple pets, you can place an order in advance to have your portraits ready for pickup at the next market. ☺️👍🐾
