Hi, my name is Tristen Hargett. To whomever was at Cuba Cuba and Starbucks off of Promenade in Castle Rock this afternoon and saw me being falsely detained/arrested I want everyone to know that I'm not a criminal and that was purely the result of poor detective work. They could not give me a reason why I was being detained until they spoke to me afterwards and they admitted they had the wrong guy. I also have a previous shoulder injury that I am recovering from. I told both the Lieutenant and the officers that, and they chose not to acknowledge it.
They cuffed me anyways, the way my shoulder was not meant to go after my shoulder surgery they handcuffed me super tight. They barged into Cuba Cuba scared a bunch of children, pointed guns at us and couldn't give me or my business partner an explanation on why we were being handcuffed and taken out of the restaurant when we were simply meeting for lunch.
Please be safe out there everybody as Douglas County sheriffs and Castle Rock police department has gotten very out of control.
