With almost no prior experience in construction, Joe (Skippy) Fawcett joined our team in 2019 and we’re so glad he did.

On day one, Joe was only confident on demo day but now, he’s our most vital foreman, installer, and psychiatrist for the team. Joe’s work ethic and efficiency is unmatched as long as he’s had his daily Bang™

Joe is a certified baller and now resides in Tampa, FL. He spends his days riding his beach cruiser and listening to Crosby, Stills & Nash. Please come back Joe- we’re in shambles without you.

Fun fact: Joe once busted his hand just prove that he could karate chop a piece of 3/4” solid oak flooring in half. He failed time and time again until his hand was boarderline broken. Talk about perseverance!

VHR wasn’t even a thought yet. Our founder Andy Tuskin was working for in collaboration with Geoff at to bring this project to life.

The original wood flooring was used as a boarder for the tile inlay.

With the thicknesses of the hex tile, accent tile, and plank flooring all being different, this was a fun one to piece together! A butcher custom hinged butcher block extension was added to expand the minimal countertop square footage.

It was this project that sparked a love for tile in Andy and VHR now has an extensive portfolio of custom ceramic, porcelain, and marble installations.

It’s important to remember how far you’ve come.
