Evening light in the north alley…

The path glows golden as the evening sun filters through the trees, dappling ferns, begonias, and art along the way.

A turn left before the blue arbor leads to the Zen Den—where a tree fern, bromeliads, and billbergia nutans gather near a quiet stone bench and bubbling fountain. Aeoniums, crassula multicava, and hanging baskets fill the space with texture and calm.

Across the path, a concrete stool sits surrounded by more bromeliads, begonias, aeoniums, and a collection of blue pots and spheres—all tucked in and glowing in the last light of day.

A cone-shaped hanging basket painted in my signature hot pink holds a trailing cotyledon pendens, adding a playful pop above the stillness.

It’s a beautiful day in the front garden.
 Leucospermum is glowing, hardy geranium is threading through the puya, and the echiums are popping their true-blue spires above the pineapple sage—vibrant, vertical, and feeding the bees and hummingbirds.
One hot pink flower stalk from the beschorneria rises near the whale tongue agave, a striking pairing. Wisteria is blooming near the bold leaves of gunnera, and the tall euphorbia stands like a host at the entrance to the seating area, greeting anyone headed toward the front door.
Color, form, texture—and a little spring magic. 🌿
