Take a wild guess why all these semi trucks are lined up on the freeway.

They all parked underneath a freeway overpass because there was a man who was threatening to jump.

And the trucks would shorten the fall and hopefully keep him alive.

The Michigan State Police called in the truckers to help.
They say they’ve been doing that for 23 years.
Lt. Mike Shaw told FOX2:

"We have been doing this for as long as I have been in the department, which is 1995.
We have kept it quiet for that long but social media and cell phones kind of changes that.”

"We know that usually if someone jumps from that height it's usually not going to be a good outcome."

"We will actually steal semi trucks out of the crowd and as we get the cars off the freeway we will direct the semis to another trooper that's standing underneath the bridge and we will start to line them up right across."

And the great news here is that in this case it worked.
After speaking with the man for three hours he finally decided to come down and he was taken to get help.

Well done to everyone involved.
