1. Beautiful and colorful
2. Medicinal
3. Great for pollinators
4. Can be used in making bath and body products such soap, lotion, salves and creams
5. Can be used for craft projects
6. It has antibacterial properties
7. Can be used for drinks like tea

Rainbow Swiss chard harvest! We enjoy these gorgeous veggies for dinner. My simple recipe is simply sautéing the greens in olive oil and garlic. Then I add a little bit of onion salt and pepper. And voila!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Just finished my calendula salves! I am so pleased with the outcome. I used my own infused calendula and added beeswax which I purchased from Amazon and some drops of helichrysum essential oil.

I tried it on my hands, and oh my! My skin felt smooth right away, and it doesn’t feel greasy at all.

Happy Sunday, gardening fam! I really enjoyed my first calendula soap creation. It was not perfect, but certainly a pleasure to make using calendula from my garden. I loved sharing it with some of my friends. Today I made my second homemade soap using dried origano lavander, rose petals and calendula which I personally harvested and dried. In this project I used goat’s milk “melt-and-pour” soap base which contains coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerine, goat’s milk, sorbitol (moisturizer), and purified water. I also added rose geranium essential oil. I just love how it came out.

Happy Thursday instafam! I harvested the Manpukuji carrots today. This is my second time planting them and both became successful. Planted last August in a 2’ 5” Rubbermaid container. I put a lot of chicken manure and garden soil in it, and fertilized them once a month with fish fertilizer. Located in a sunny area and kept the soil moist. 😉
