Positions open for general labor. Experience preferred or some experience but willing to train in fencing, decking, and construction/roofing located in the Hickory/Conover area. Basic requirements include: reading tape measure, using levels and angle finder, using hammers, screwdrivers, pry-bars, and other hand tools, must be able to use flat round and trenching shovels, wheel barrels, tamp rods of all sorts, are able to work under the house, in crawlspaces and on ladders at times, knowing how to square corners using 3-4-5 method with string and batter boards, mixing concrete, lifting up to 80 pounds multiple times throughout an 8-hour shift, operation of cordless power drills and equipment while maintaining and rotating batteries on/off chargers, operate power auger, air nailers, miter saw, and abilities to work safely, efficiently, and with or without a partner to achieve a preset daily production goal outlined by crew leader ahead of the shift. Outside work: so must be able to withstand elements 5 to 6 days weekly on 8-hour shifts. We strive to keep workdays to 8-hours per day. Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm. Days will be assigned on Tuesdays and dependent on work availability. We may not have jobs to work 6 days a week at all times. The crew will meet in Hickory or Catawba in the mornings before the shift starts and will provide transportation to job sites. Pay is given on Saturdays and given cash. Pay will be held back one week upon the start date. Starting pay is $60 to $70 per day depending on experience. After a 30 day probationary period your work will be reviewed and an increase in pay may be possible upon performance evaluation. Bonuses may be given as incentives to meet daily goals.
