The more I look at this seedling the more I like it. It looks as if each fall has its own little candle glow.

Several maiden blooms greeting me this morning! It’s exciting to see a new kind of iris that no one has ever seen before.

This is DIS20-69-05, and it is from a seed I got from the DIS seed sale in 2022. It actually bloomed the first time in the fall, and so far is my favorite of the seedlings I’ve grown to bloom. There is rebloom in its ancestry (I only know it’s pod parent for sure) and it’s petals have a nice glittery finish that this picture doesn’t show off well. It’s got nice upright foliage and a slight sweet scent, and has survived my novice care.

We’re having a plant sale in Catlett on Sat Sept 17 starting around 8 and going either until we run out or around 5pm.

We have native and cottage garden plants, including
a few blackberries and raspberries,
a couple different kinds of coneflowers,
some pond/wetland plants,
And more!

We are located at the corner of 28 and 606
Address: 3219 Catlett Road

We have a circular driveway, but be aware that there is a bit of a drop off if you start to pull off 28 too early, so go ahead and slow down even if you get honked at.
