We oversee seven asphalt plants and eight concrete plant locations, along with a fleet of paving sets, over sixty haul trucks and nearly one hundred concrete mixers. st north of Austin, with additional offices in Belton, Hutto, and San Antonio. Much of our progression from an early-80's, one-man operation called Wheeler Coatings to a 21st-century regional powerhouse can be attributed to the ambition and integrity of founder Jack Wheeler. Wheeler moved to Texas in 1982 and started his first asphalt coating and repair company. Today our construction team maintains the same values and pride in workmanship. This week we caught up with Foreman Carlos C.’s crew in San Antonio, who enjoyed a BBQ lunch and a well-deserved rest to celebrate their hard work and excellent performance. We’d like to take a moment to recognize and congratulate one of our outstanding San Antonio-based asphalt paving crews who demonstrate safety excellence both on and off the jobsite. 👏

For an impressive six consecutive months, these individuals have not only delivered top-notch construction results, but have accomplished them with zero incidents or accidents. 🚧 Under the leadership of Superintendent Luis R. and Foreman José C., this crew consistently raises the bar when it comes to safety and performance.

As a small token of our gratitude and appreciation, each member of the crew received a special gift – a brand new company polo and ball cap.

We’re proud to recognize this remarkable team and all our employees who prioritize safety above all else. Together, we create a culture of excellence and ensure the well-being of our crew members and the traveling public. 🙌

There’s nothing we enjoy more than sharing our enthusiasm for the work we do, so naturally we had a blast showing our summer interns the ropes at our Seward hot mix asphalt plant today! They enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at the entire asphalt production process and asked questions to their hearts’ content.

Big thanks to our asphalt plant superintendent Gary Simpson for leading the group today and for sharing his expertise and industry knowledge with our awesome interns. You won’t find a more knowledgeable or enthusiastic tour guide anywhere!
