Hardscape Solutions of Iowa has an opportunity available for a team player seeking personal and professional growth in construction estimating. Our two Cedar Rapids based companies, Hardscape Solutions of Iowa (HSI) and Landscaping Solutions of Iowa (LSI) are seeking an Estimator/Assistant Project Manager. HSI specializes in the design and installation of retaining walls and pavers for commercial, municipal, and residential customers in Eastern Iowa. LSI specializes in the design and installation of landscaping for commercial, municipal, and residential customers in Eastern Iowa.

Responsibilities include:
• Assist Project Managers in preparation of bids for both hardscaping and landscaping projects
• Complete take-offs and review plans and specs
• Communicate with suppliers to determine material costs
• Create purchase orders for suppliers and assist with scheduling deliveries

Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, related field or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills
• Punctual and excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently
