Cedar Valley Arborist is locally owned and operated in the Cedar Rapids community since 2014. With over 14 years of experience in the area as a whole.

Before the derecho decimated our city and surrounding areas, we had been set up to take care of the more intimate tree work; hand climbing everything and using equipment that gives us mechanical advantage. Attending to trims and removals that were not accessible by heavy equipment.

To best help out our community in the recovery efforts however, we obtained this lil gem. More specifically, this lil clam 😄 She's not little, she's a beast! With tremendous capabilities, she might not be glamorous, but we know she will help towards both the short term and long term effects of what happened on August 10th 2020...

We live right here with you all. We experienced damage and loss of power with you all. We thanked the linemen and out of town/state workers right alongside everyone else! We are so thankful for the leaps and bounds our neighborhoods have made by coming together! We are proud to be

Derecho. How is it that so many of us had not heard this term before? They aren't unheard of, they aren't undocumented... But this one was unlike others in a couple of ways it seems; Higher wind speeds, and longer duration!

It demolished our community and our beloved trees! As we all move forward with recovery, we want you to know that Cedar Valley Arborist is here for you! Working diligently to provide each and every one of you with assessments and solutions!

The derecho of August 10th, 2020 has likely set many records. A lot of the data right now is preliminary and may be adjusted as the National Weather Service verifies it. Some of the derechos this is SIMILAR to is the 1998 Corn Belt Derecho and the 2011 Derecho in Benton County. STRONG WIND DURATION....

Fall coupon!

Oaks and Elms will be the main focus going into the fall and winter seasons. As many of you are aware the Emerald Ash Borer was confirmed in Linn county as of Oct. This insect does travel quickly, so its time to start preparing. Please give us a call to go over options and future planning. We can help you decide what to do on both a short term and long term scale.

There are a lot of options available to most homeowners and its helpful to have someone with vast knowledge in selecting what might be the tree your children or grandchildren grow up with (or in if you enjoy climbing as much as we do!)

Life is going great here a Cedar Valley Arborist!
Special thanks to all my friends, family, customers, and my wife, I wouldn't have made it this far with out you.
Work is going great these last couple of months with all sorts of great challenges, this winter is going to bring the big oaks so don't for get to make an appointment soon because Nov.and parts of Dec. are starting to fill up.
