🌿 That’s a Wrap on Our 2025 Garden Club Season! 🌿

We closed out the season with a wonderful visit to Rooted In, where Clint and Daniel shared their knowledge about native Texas plants. It was an inspiring and educational afternoon surrounded by scenic views — and pumpkins galore! 🎃🌾

As we wrap up, we’re excited to announce our newly elected 2026 Board Members:

🌿✨ What an incredible day! We had the honor of delivering a check to two deserving recipients of Collin College’s Agriculture Program — made possible through the funds raised from our 2025 Garden Tour! 🌸

We met with Anne Stahel Thornton, Director of Agriculture, who gave us a wonderful tour and insight into what a student’s day looks like in this inspiring program. 🚜🌾

It was truly amazing to see firsthand how our community’s support and hard work are helping students follow their dreams in agriculture — the very heart of what we celebrate and nurture. ❤️

We’re thrilled to share that funds raised from our 2025 Garden Tour are already being put to great use — helping students pursue their passion for careers in agriculture, horticulture, and skilled trades! 🌱

Our first round of support went to our very own Garden of Oz (Celina Friends of the Gardens) — a project near and dear to our hearts. 🌸 Thanks to these funds, twenty students from Lykins Elementary in Celina, TX were able to benefit! 💚

🐝 What an Amazing Meeting! 🌸

A huge thank you to Shannon Lagrave, Master Beekeeper, who trekked through the storm to give an outstanding presentation on “Planting for Happy Bees.” 🐝🌼 Her passion, expertise, and engaging style had us hanging on every word – we all left with a wealth of new knowledge and inspiration for creating pollinator-friendly spaces!

And what’s better than learning about bees? Tasting honey! 🍯 We had so much fun with an interactive honey tasting featuring honey harvested by our very own members. A special thank you to Heather Zavadil, Shirley A., Shirley L., Tracey Evans, and Sue Verrill for sharing your delicious honey with us.

It was an morning full of learning, fun, and sweet community spirit! 💛🐝

🌿✨ Garden Club Members Get Their Hands Dirty! ✨🌿

Our members had a wonderful meeting in June learning the art of plant propagation from one of our very own, Master Gardener Nancy Bell! 🌸🍃👩‍🌾

We were treated to a tour of Nancy’s incredible garden—overflowing with flowers, fig and persimmon trees, a thriving vegetable patch, a peaceful pond, and even a lush shade garden. The best part? Most of it was grown from plants she propagated herself! 🌱

Nancy shared her best tips and tricks for successful propagation and generously sent us home with clippings of her beautiful sedum to plant in our own gardens. 🪴💚

It was truly inspiring to see how much beauty can grow from just one small cutting.
