The caregiver crisis is no longer a future problem—it’s here. It’s a reality that affects millions and will touch nearly every family at some point.

In our first Substack post, Rosarium CEO reflects on how his experience caring for his loved ones shaped his understanding of care, community and the people who quietly hold families together.

To some, it’s construction. To David, it’s restoring dignity.

The changes made to Catalino’s home were life-changing for him. For David, it was a reminder that the work he does isn’t just about building things, it’s about helping people.

The future of in-home care is here — and Rosarium Health is leading the charge. 🚀

Honored to be featured in .tech and following our $6M seed announcement, allowing us to continue expanding access to smarter, more compassionate care nationwide.

For CEO Cameron Carter, this mission is personal. After serving as a caregiver for his aunt and grandmother, he saw firsthand how unsafe and unsupported home environments were pushing people into hospitals and nursing facilities unnecessarily.

“I repeatedly saw that people were ending up in hospitals or nursing facilities because their living situations and neighborhood environment were unsafe and unsupported, not because they needed more medicine,” Carter said.

Through clinically informed home modifications, in-home installations, and renovations, Rosarium Health is helping families age safely and with dignity at home.

Thank you to all of our investors!

Healthcare does not begin and end in a hospital or a physician’s office.

The environment someone lives in has a measurable impact on their safety, recovery, mobility, and long-term health outcomes.

This is part of what healthcare leaders refer to as Social Determinants of Health: the non-medical factors that shape overall wellbeing.

Housing is one of the most important, yet often overlooked, pieces of that conversation.

At Rosarium Health, we work to help make homes safer, more accessible, and more supportive of independent living through clinically informed home modifications and coordinated care solutions.

Because improving health outcomes sometimes starts with changing the environment someone comes home to.

Caregiving is rooted in love. It is also, at times, deeply exhausting.

There’s a moment in this conversation that often goes unspoken.

It’s not just the physical tasks. It’s the constant awareness. The 40 minutes where someone is showering and you’re listening for any sign that something might go wrong. The mental load of always needing to be nearby. The quiet shift in your own independence as you care for someone else.

And unlike other seasons of life, there isn’t always a clear point where things become easier. That uncertainty can change routines, relationships, and expectations in ways many people are not prepared for.

At Rosarium Health, we believe these conversations deserve more space. Because supporting independence at home is not just about safety. It is about reducing that constant strain and giving both individuals and caregivers more stability in their day-to-day lives.

Today marks an important milestone for Rosarium Health as we continue building toward a future where the home becomes a primary setting for healthcare.

We’re proud to announce $6M in funding, alongside partnerships with Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans, to help expand access to home modifications and supportive services, enabling more people to age safely and independently in place.

Too often, the home is overlooked in healthcare conversations despite being one of the most important factors influencing safety, recovery, independence, and long-term outcomes.

At Rosarium, we believe small changes in the home can have a meaningful impact on quality of life, caregiver burden, and overall healthcare costs across the system.

This next chapter allows us to continue scaling our network, strengthening partnerships, and improving access to care-centered home environments for the people who need them most.

We’re incredibly grateful to our investors, partners, providers, and team for believing in this mission and helping move it forward.

Awareness is the starting point. What follows is how we respond to what it reveals.

With Parkinson’s disease, changes in movement and balance often unfold gradually, shaping daily routines in ways that are easy to overlook at first.

Over time, those subtle shifts can influence safety, independence, and overall quality of life.

The conversation extends beyond symptom recognition. It includes how the environment supports or challenges someone as those changes progress.

When the home is aligned with evolving needs, it can help reduce strain, preserve consistency, and support greater independence over time.

If you are thinking through how a home can better support Parkinson’s care, start that conversation early.

The U.S. population is aging rapidly, but the environments people live in have not kept pace.

As the Baby Boomer generation moves fully into retirement age, more individuals are choosing to remain in their homes. The challenge is that most homes were not designed to support changes in mobility, balance, or long-term care needs.

Aging in place is often framed as a personal preference. In reality, it is a structural issue. Safety, accessibility, and independence are directly influenced by the home itself.

At Rosarium, we focus on bridging that gap by connecting clinical insight with real, functional home modifications. That includes assessments, coordination with contractors, and navigating the systems required to actually get the work done.

As this demographic shift continues, the conversation needs to move beyond awareness and toward implementation.
If you are thinking about how a home will support you or someone you care for over time, this is the time to start planning.
