❤️95 years of life, and what a beautiful life she lived. My Grandma Joan passed away at 95 years old, healthy until the very end. She simply grew old, and her time here on earth came to an end. When I think about the roots of who I am today, so many of them lead right back to her. She was the one who planted my love for agriculture deep in my soul. She taught me the value of growing our own food, getting our hands dirty, working hard, and appreciating the connection between the land and what ends up on our table. Long before I understood how much those lessons would shape my life, she was quietly teaching me through the way she lived. What she passed down wasn’t just a love for gardening. It was a way of life. A respect for the land, an appreciation for simple things, and the understanding that some of life’s greatest rewards come from patience, hard work, and nurturing something from the ground up. Today, I see her influence in so much of what I do. Every seed planted, every garden tended, every opportunity to teach a child where their food comes from carries a little piece of her legacy. She planted the seeds, and I get to spend my life helping them grow. What a gift to have had her for 95 years. And what an even greater gift to carry a piece of her with me in the things I love most. Thank you, Grandma, for giving me roots that run so deep. ❤️🌾
