Paint isn’t exactly a perfume. At RAC Custom Painting , we add a tiny bit of vanilla extract to the paint to cut through the odor of it and give it a subtle and more pleasant aroma. It doesn’t bother the paint and it doesn’t last forever, but it doesn’t have to. By the time the paint is completely dry and cured, paint doesn’t really have any odor left so a long lasting scent isn’t necessary. Just a little something until it dries!

Any good paint job had good prep work done. It’s funny how they call it painting when I spend 70% of the time prepping. Here is step 1 in the process…
Remove!
You start with removing anything you can to avoid damage. In this case, shudders and flower boxes. If you look closely, something else was removed. Old paint and weathered caulking along with general dirt. The woodwork was scraped of loose paint after being power washed and the stucco had all the dirt rinsed off.

Sure, we take the long, dirty way. But nothing looks or feels better. Now they have a paint job they don’t have to worry about for a long time!
