I have not been active on this page for some time. Back in March our daughter Ezlynn(2yr) was diagnosed with cancer. We decided with the covid restrictions at the hospitals, it would be best if we shut down our business temporarily. This way, we could dedicate more time to our daughter and her treatment.
If you don't know Ezlynn's story, she was diagnosed with Stage 4, HR, Amplified Neuroblastoma in March 2020. She has undergone 5 rounds of chemotherapy, a bone marrow transplant, radiation, and is currently in the immunotherapy stage and will have undergone 5 rounds of this stage once it's over. She is expected to finish frontline treatment in March 2021.
Miraculously, she is currently NED (no evidence of disease). This means that the scans are no longer able to pick up cancer cells! She will not be considered in remission until she hits 5 years NED and still must complete her entire treatment protocol. Sadly, this particular cancer has a fairly high relapse rate though. There are a few trials that are currently happening that are supposed to help children not relapse. One trial in particular seems to have positive feedback thus far for amplified children, like Ezlynn. This is the trial that we desperately want her to be apart of.
There are no hospitals in Arizona that are taking part in the trial so we will need to travel for her care. She will need to go to the hospital once a month for the first three months. After that, she will need to go back every three months for just over two years.
Since Ezlynn started her treatment her taste buds have changed significantly. Chemo dulls the taste buds and now she loooves spicy foods. Chips and salsa and jalapeno beef jerky are her go to favorite snacks. We decided to make a salsa in honor of her and to help raise money to go towards her travel expenses.
$7.50 each or 2 for $12. If you live in San Tan or Queen Creek we will deliver to you!
Venmo, Zelle, or cash
I invite you to follow her journey to defeating this.
