This is not your typical before and after.

A sculpted marble bust inside the US Court of Appeals in Washington, DC had been sitting under years of accumulated grime. The white marble had turned gray and yellow, and the carved detail of the face and clothing was almost lost under the buildup.

We restored it using Old World techniques and the natural white marble came back. And, with it, all of the fine detail the sculptor originally carved of this gentleman returned to life.

Just wrapped up a marble countertop restoration in Washington, DC.

This kitchen island had simply dulled over the years; nothing unusual for a surface that gets used every day. The marble itself was in great shape, it just needed the finish brought back to life.

Commercial travertine elevator lobby, before and after. Years of heavy foot traffic had taken a toll on the surface, and a prior cleaning attempt with the wrong products had darkened the grout lines further and dulled the finish.

We deep-cleaned the travertine and restored it to its original luster throughout the lobby floor. It's a common situation. Natural stone responds poorly to the wrong chemicals, and what starts as a maintenance effort can compound the problem. The good news is it's almost always recoverable.

Building lobbies set the tone for the entire property. When the stone starts to show wear, restoration brings it back without the cost or disruption of replacement.
