Happy Subscription Wednesday! 🌸

Today kicks off our summer subscriptions!

We’ve split our bi-weekly subscribers into two groups this year, so if you’re not sure when your first bouquet is scheduled, check your text messages for your start date!

We’re excited that our subscribers will be the first to enjoy this season’s lilies as they begin to bloom. 🌼

A quick Yale Road Flowers update 🌱

Over the last few years, we’ve seen increases across just about everything behind the scenes… bulbs, seeds, plugs, soil, packaging and supplies.

We’ve absorbed those increases for as long as we could, but beginning June 1st, our bouquet price will increase from $20 to $25.

Any bouquets or preorders placed before today will be honored at the original pricing, including all subscription bouquets already purchased.

This wasn’t a decision we made lightly. This small increase will allow us to continue growing full, abundant bouquets, investing back into the farm and bringing new varieties and products to Yale Road Flowers.

From tiny seedlings to bouquets on your kitchen table, we’re grateful for every person who chooses local and supports our little farm.

Sunday harvest update 🌱

This morning we’re cutting the very first lilies of the season and what may be some of the last campanula. The campanula has been a favorite around here, but the lilies are ready to take their turn in the spotlight.

Also, what a wild storm yesterday! We’re thankful the flowers came through without major damage and hope everyone else can say the same!

SNAPDRAGONS! Or as we nicknamed them around here… Shawty Snaps! 🫰

They are about to duck out of the chat for a little bit. The next group is growing a little slower with the temperature respite we’ve had (no complaints!). But that means that the last of the spring snaps will be at The Daily Grind Nutrition tomorrow!

We’ll have a handful of buckets ready to go Saturday from 10A-2P, or until sold out. We’ll also have the last of the campanula for all the bell flowers lovers.

POV: Mom and dad are deep in seed-starting mode and there’s a sale on their favorite seed-starting mix… but your belly is full from lunch and technically it’s nap time. A boy’s gotta do what a boy’s gotta do 🤣

We may pay for skipped naps (or rather short naps under the cart) later, but when they result in a seedling tower looking like this, we’ll call it a fair trade 🌱 Just over here babying and starting all the seeds for all the summer flowers! Spring season slowing down, summer season loading!
