Every once in a while, we get the opportunity to take on a truly unique project.

This waterfront renovation required a custom approach from the ground up. We recessed the pier directly into an existing concrete retaining wall stair cut out and integrated it seamlessly creating a clean, functional transition from the yard to the water.

For the structure, we framed the entire project using Owens Corning Lifetime Structural Framing in Weatherwood. In an area that stays damp, receives constant splash, and is exposed to the elements year-round, traditional wood simply wasn’t the right choice. WearDeck’s structural framing will never rot, warp, or decay, providing unmatched longevity and performance in a harsh waterfront environment.

The finished dock features Barefoot Sand WearDeck decking, a new 20-foot aluminum gangway, two new pilings added to the floating dock, and removal of the old finger pier section where the original wooden ramp once landed. The result is a cleaner layout, improved functionality, and a dock system built to last for decades.

This spring we’ve been getting a ton of calls for redecks and full dock resurfacing — and yes, we do them… and we make them look GOOD.

If your dock structure is still solid, a redeck can be a great way to refresh the entire look and feel of your waterfront without the cost of a full replacement. In many cases, resurfacing can add 10–15 years of life or more to an existing dock for a fraction of the cost of new construction.

We use #1 grade select pressure treated lumber and take the extra time to do the details right. All decking, handrail top caps, and pier band framing are hand routed for a clean finished look that stands out.

Pier Rebuild + Boat Lift Upgrade in Prosperity

Now that the water has warmed up a bit, we have been busy changing out bad floats.

Quick redeck we did a couple weeks back, turned out nice and added 10-15 years to the dock life.

We also installed new rub rail, corner bumper, cleats, and added headers under the seating area where the original build did not have them.

This particular build was a great candidate for a redeck because even though it was approximately 20 years old, all of the framing was still in great shape and was a pretty clean build from the start.

Kudos to our crew that brought this Dock back to life with great finish quality craftsmanship!
