We completed a single-car garage addition in Newbury, ensuring the new structure seamlessly integrates with the existing home, with particular attention to matching architectural details, eliminating offsets, and aligning roof planes, all while capturing the home's aesthetic essence and functional flow. Given the existing garage door's low clearance, which couldn't accommodate the customer's vehicle, and the need for a taller door, we lowered the finished floor elevation. The existing window opening was also modified to include an entry door with steps to the new floor. Stay tuned to see the beautiful garage doors being installed next week.

The latest on this custom build 2-story garage and workshop: Snowmageddon forced a timeout, but we've resumed construction and just today poured the garage floor, patio, and approach. Now that the weather's cooperating, we'll make short work of the finish line. Can't wait to give you a tour of the completed interior and exterior.

We absolutely LOVE small jobs—they let us dive in, solve real problems, and deliver big results fast.
Just last week, a customer called us with a door that did not function at all. The masonry had shifted creating a severely out of plumb opening. The previous door installer couldn't get even reveals, proper lock alignment, and it would not properly shut. We tackled it on a Saturday morning—careful shimming, precise leveling, and smart adjustments to the out-of-plumb wall, and sill, along with some careful triming of the brickmold were the key to success. New door installed, closes smoothly, even reveals, even gaps all around, locks perfectly, and looks great. Most importantly it locks and closes correctly and will keep the family safe.

Here is a small but technical interior framing job we completed for MT Contracting. The existing floorplan left less than ideal space for a growing family, but had a very tall great room with potential to build more usable space without a traditional addition. The solution was to set 12" lvl ledgers and an engineered TJI floor system to build an additional bedroom, two closets, and office space. We then removed sheetrock where two windows would be added, installed necessary headers and stud packs into the Ballon framed wall, set windows, and installed new siding around them.

Following a demo crew that removed the existing walls, ceiling, and roof, we rebuilt the structure on this complex renovation. Our tasks included completing structural repairs to the floor, building new walls and roof, installing windows and waterproofing the structure before the rain arrived the next day.
