A clean and simple place to break bread. We designed this table (and complimented it with benches in a similar manor) with varying wood species and widths. To give the table top all its glory due…we floated it on a pair of lucite bases to invite the eye to focus on the beauty of the natural wood.
Thank you to Capers Cauthen for expertly fabricating the vision.

Weekends were made for enjoying the Great Outdoors and this Georgetown get away is what anyone would crave after a busy week at the office.

We designed this cabin to be clean and free of “stuff” so the owners could do exactly what we intended… relax, rest and recuperate after a long work week.

Hope y’all enjoy lots of flora and fauna (and perhaps a 10 point) at this pristine and special property.

A quiet little space to pause in a noisy and robust world.

We think these intentional and edited walls in a home let certain items of interest steal the show….because let’s face it not everything needs to demand equal energy.

We encourage you to give more real estate (wall space) to the things that are important to you. Step back. Let your eye bounce around the room.

Then….this is the hard part…remove a small piece (or even two if you are feeling brave). There is where I think you get the sweet spot in design. The balance. The flow. The peace and invitation to actually live in and enjoy the space.

Not gonna quit my day job…but being with and getting outside today to chase the light was great for my soul. They are incredibly talented artists who teach me so much.

Studio art was my major in college () with a concentration in printmaking. Printmaking?

It was my passion and my parents (who funded my education) allowed me to focus on my passion- even though they didn’t necessarily understand it at the time. Admittedly; I probably didn’t either.

Yet, there is something so real and fulfilling about finding your passion-for me it was God’s gift of creativity. It is with me everyday. Perhaps it’s in you too?

Anyway- suppose I encourage all of you to work to find your joy. Your passion. And push yourself as far as you can to learn and grow. It’s truly not about the end result. It’s the process.

Please tell me something you found beautiful in this day.

Even if you’re not a hunter, heading to the country this weekend still seems like a good idea. In this Georgetown, SC get-away, we let natural beauty outside inspire the casual and comfortable living spaces inside the cabin.

Golden hour(s) all day in Cashiers at the . It’s been such a wonderful effort and experience to support .

It is with a full heart that I thank everyone involved and the tremendous support of friends, family, workrooms, vendors and beyond.

It truly takes a village and I’ve got the best one that could ever exist.
