Enjoyed a fun evening last night with our community and HSF supporters. Explored the history of this hidden gem on N Main St with the Campions and loved revealing the buildings new direction.

Today we are celebrating Natalie’s 10 year Anniversary of Architectural Licensure in NC.

Step 1 - graduate from an accredited architecture school (UNC-Charlotte)
Step 2 - Internship hours in 6 categories for 3,600+ hours.
Step 3 - Start Architect Registration Examinations (6 separate test).
Step 4 - Pass Exams in Step 3 & Apply for licensure in your state!

She did all of this in 10 years while getting married, buying her first home, having her first kid (3 now), surviving the 2008 recession and working in multiple firms to see many different styles, sizes and communities of architectural practice. Today is a day our office is excited to celebrate her accomplishments, and thankful for the firm she began. Her years of experience and drive are what continues to bring us such amazing clients to work with everyday.

Hi there! I’m Natalie Morgan, owner and principal architect of Morgan Architecture + Consulting. My entire childhood was built around doodling house plans and drawing designs during church services. For the past 15 years, I’ve been focused on small town business branding, historic revitalization, and creating scenic, non-urban environments. I’m based in China Grove, NC, a small country town north of Charlotte, with my husband and three children. ​​​​​​​​

I started Morgan Architecture + Consulting, PLLC in 2012 with a dream to design thriving spaces for small businesses and thoughtful homeowners and to connect on a deeper level within their community. With a family background in building and construction, I was raised to appreciate that great projects come from a network of people solving problems together. That’s why I’ve founded this company on the principles of strong relationships. ​​​​​​​​

Being a small town architect definitely has its perks. All was quiet and still for a short time this week as snow blanketed our little town of China Grove, NC. Our office computers were powered down and we all took much needed time to pause and enjoy family. Reflecting on these moments as I gear up for a busy week. Photo credit to Dustin Baker.
