Are your boots out yet? 🥾🍂

Every fall brings the same routine: dig out the boots, find somewhere to put the sandals, and hope nothing got crushed over the summer.

A custom closet makes the seasonal swap take minutes. A dedicated boot rod with clips keeps tall boots hanging straight, so they hold their shape instead of folding over at the ankle. That's what causes those permanent creases across the shaft. Adjustable shelving above handles the rest of your wardrobe, and when spring comes back around, you just swap it again.

Sandals up, boots hung. Boot season, handled.

Your laundry room is wasting space. 🧺

Most laundry rooms are a washer, a dryer, and a whole lot of unused wall. Here's what a custom design adds:
✔️ A folding counter over or beside the machines, so clothes go straight from dryer to folded
✔️ A pull-out ironing board that slides out of a drawer and disappears when you're done
✔️ A drying rack tucked into a cabinet, ready for the delicates
✔️ Upper cabinets and open shelving for detergent, linens, and towels

Same square footage, a whole lot more function.

📍 LOCAL INSTALLATION: Custom Murphy Bed

A guest room that disappears into the wall. 🤎

Closed, this reads as a designed built-in, not a bed. Open, it's a full guest room in seconds, so the room keeps working all year and still has somewhere for company to sleep.

✔️ Rich walnut finish on the bed front, warm against the white cabinetry
✔️ Lit glass shelves on both sides for books and décor
✔️ Textured leather drawers
✔️ Built floor to ceiling so the whole wall works together

No sacrificing an entire room for the few nights a year you host.

His side, her side, zero arguments. 👔👗

One closet, two styles. A custom design gives each of you your own zone, sized for what you actually own. Double hang for shirts and folded pieces on one side, longer hang space and shoe shelving on the other, plus shared drawers and a center island in the middle.

No more fighting over rod space or losing your things in someone else's pile. Everyone gets their own spot, and the whole closet still looks like it belongs together.

Built for both of you.

8 custom closet features you'll actually use every day 👇

Most closets waste space with a single rod and a shelf. A custom design puts every inch to work, and these are the details that make the biggest difference:

1️⃣ Pull-out pant racks that hold multiple pairs in the space of one, without creasing
2️⃣ Slide-out belt and tie racks that tuck away when you're done
3️⃣ Glass display cabinets with LED lighting for handbags and special pieces
4️⃣ A fold-down ironing board built into the cabinetry, ready when you need it
5️⃣ Angled shoe shelves with retaining rails, so nothing slides off and every pair stays in view
6️⃣ A tilt-out hamper hidden behind a matching cabinet door, so laundry stays out of sight
7️⃣ A pull-out valet rod for planning tomorrow's outfit, then it tucks right back in
8️⃣ A hinged full-length mirror that swings out when you need it and tucks away when you don't

Which one would you add first?

Meet Johan and Ellie, the people behind the spaces. 👋

For Johan and Ellie Fogelberg, organization is about more than adding shelves or cabinets. It starts with understanding how you live, what isn't working, and where thoughtful design can make your everyday easier.

As the owners of The Tailored Closet and PremierGarage of Greater Charlotte, they help homeowners build personalized solutions throughout the home and garage. Custom closets, pantries, laundry rooms, home offices, garage cabinetry, storage systems, and durable garage flooring. Every project starts with your space, your needs, and your vision.

Because the best organization system isn't one-size-fits-all. It's tailored to you.

Proudly serving Alexis, Catawba, Charlotte, Clover, Cornelius, Dallas, Davidson, Denver, Fort Mill, Hickory Grove, Huntersville, Iron Station, Lincolnton, Maiden, Matthews, Mc Connells, Mooresville, Mount Ulla, Pineville, Rock Hill, Sharon, Sherrills Ford, Smyrna, Stanley, Terrell, Troutman, Van Wyck, Waxhaw, York, and surrounding communities.

3 Benefits of a Custom Pantry 👇

1️⃣ Less food waste, lower grocery bills
When everything is visible and has a spot, you actually see what you have. No more buying a third jar of the same thing or tossing expired items from the back of a shelf.

2️⃣ A kitchen that stays clear
Small appliances, bulk items, and everyday essentials get a home of their own, which means clear counters and cabinets in the kitchen itself.

3️⃣ Built around your space and how you cook
Adjustable shelving, pull-out baskets, and corner storage put every inch to work, even the awkward spots. Your pantry fits your kitchen and the way your family actually uses it.
