Juneteenth always makes me stop and think about the people who came before me. People who carried burdens I’ll never fully understand, but still found a way to keep believing, keep pushing, and keep climbing. Because of them, I get to live a life filled with opportunities they could only dream about. I’m reminded that freedom and progress didn’t just happen. They came at a cost and every morning when my feet hit the floor, I feel an obligation to honor their sacrifices. I do so not just by remembering, but by showing up, doing meaningful work…with excellence and by making the most of the path they paved for me. Happy Juneteenth.
