Chancery Custom Custom interiors sewing workroom - window treatments, pillows, cushions, bedding All throughout this time I continued to sew and create in my free time.

I’ve always had a love for design and textiles, but never dreamed of having a custom interiors business. Growing up my focus was directed toward fashion and art, and therefore graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a degree in Apparel Design and Technology. Directly after graduation, I began working in handbag & accessories design for Theory in New York City, and continued working in design

and product development after moving to Charlotte in 2006. After various apparel and home interiors projects, I became known by my friends as a girl with a knack for sewing. One by one, I began taking on small projects of drapes or pillows for friends, and soon realized there was a real need in my social circle for a custom interiors service. It became clear to me the direction I needed to go with my career - from fashion to interiors. What started out as a weekend gig taking on small sewing projects, quickly became a natural progression into what is now a thriving passion, Chancery Design & Textiles.
