Our annual back-to-school getaway is almost here. 🩵

For the past few years, Jackson and I have made our little escape to Kiawah Resort before the school year begins. This year, we’re switching the sea breeze for mountain air and heading to Omni Homestead Resort. ⛰️

I’m already looking forward to slow mornings, exploring somewhere new, and, watching jackson ride a horse for the very first time. 🐴

There’s something so special about creating these little traditions and giving him experiences he’ll hopefully remember long after the vacations are over.

Next week can’t come soon enough. 🩵

One thing people are often surprised to learn about me? Before interior design, I studied Biological & Behavioral Sciences.

At first glance, the two couldn’t seem more different. But both are really about understanding people.

Science taught me to ask questions, analyze problems, and think critically. Design allows me to apply those same skills to creating homes that are beautiful, functional, and thoughtfully tailored to the people who live in them.

The creative side gets all the attention, but some of the best design decisions come from logic, observation, and understanding how people actually live 💛
