With more settled weather, early June offers some beautiful flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables in my gardens. The rich diversity of plants that we have on our property and in the surrounding field invites many pollinators and beneficial birds and insects that do the work of keeping down the pest population. We have also encouraged a healthy microbiome in the soil by adding homemade compost, leaves, and other mulches that we already have on hand. We never use harmful pesticides that would ruin the honeybees, our animals, or us! I hope you enjoy the tour of our gardens!

One sweet smelling pink rose is blooming at Mama & Daddy’s house today. Roses were always her favorite flowers, and she grew them effortlessly as long as I can remember. Our next door neighbor used to have all kinds of rose bushes that filled his front yard, and he would allow me to walk in his garden and enjoy them when I was a kid. So many fond memories of my parents and their neighbors in my hometown, Kings Mountain ❤️🌹❤️
