BENJAMIN MOORE :

For those of us who aren't outdoors year-round, exterior painting season is finally upon us—let's kick it off with a paint color palette that pairs perfectly with warm limestone accents. Featuring versatile neutrals, a striking red, and rich coffee hue, these shades are perfect for drawing out the brown and orange tones in warmer-hued limestone.

Looking for unique summer spots in North Carolina that aren’t the usual crowded water parks? These 3 are worth checking out 💦🌿

✨ Sun Crest Water Park
A nostalgic old-school mountain water park in Taylorsville with spring-fed water, waterslides, rope swings, and that classic local summer feel. Typically open Mon–Wed + Fri from 10:30–5:30 and weekends until 6. (They are updating their opening hours next week so stay tuned for more info)
Afterward, grab coffee at Fueled Streetside Coffee or lunch at Hollar’s Backstreet Grill. If you want to add a quick adventure, nearby Rocky Face Mountain Recreational Area has short trails, rock formations, and overlooks.

✨ Kool Park Pool
A classic Hickory summer spot with waterslides, splash areas, diving boards, and evening swim sessions during summer. Great for families or a low-key summer day.
Pair it with a walk along Lake Hickory Riverwalk or a quick hike at Bakers Mountain Park for mountain views close to town.

✨ The Quarry at Carrigan Farms
A spring-fed quarry in Mooresville with cliff jumping, swimming, and deep blue water surrounded by rock cliffs. Reservations are required and spots fill quickly in summer.
Before or after, stop for coffee at Defined Coffee or lunch in downtown Davidson near Summit Coffee
Each one has a completely different vibe—from nostalgic and laid-back to full summer adventure.

📍 North Carolina
Save this for your next summer day trip 💦
