Here’s a trio of sibling seedlings. Some of the last Louisiana Iris still in bloom. Nothing spectacular as all are no taller than 12” tall. These were just planted last year so I didn’t expect a bloom honestly, but ended up with a very late season surprise.

Annoyed post of the day. Here’s my box from last fall I finally received from a cleaning crew across the street. The elder neighbor sold his house and these were in his garage. This box has nothing but Peter Jackson Louisiana Iris I don’t have and it’s probably gonna stay that way for a while. These rhizomes are dry and light as a feather. Swirlygig, Lime and Soda, Tazman Whirlpool, Blueberry Mouse, and Wearing Velvet, most likely $$ down the drain.

Louisiana Iris ‘Coral Island’ decided to show me a non rainy fully open bloom today. I posted a pic not long ago, but this one takes the cake. Can’t wait to see what creations I can make with its pollen.
