Thanksgiving is for eating and reflecting! After 12 years in elected office and running my own practice, I'm grateful for the opportunity to rejoin the great group of professional urban designers and planners at Renaissance Planning. My love of cities is surpassed only by my love of family! Speaking of which I'm so grateful for my granddaughter Clara who makes a brief appearance on this video, along with my trusty canine companion, Orion. Happy Thanksgiving!

When places work, they’re welcoming, inclusive and filled with opportunities for everyone. When they don’t, they can become exclusive and discriminating in terms of who gets access to good jobs, affordable housing, walkable, safe streets, and healthy food. Those realities were starkly revealed by the ongoing global pandemic and climate crisis.
