Our annual Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley workday included axe swinging, sawzalling, and easily filling a 20 yard dumpster with our freshly demolished material this past Friday. It was good fun and gave us a greater appreciation of what we put builders thru when we show a few simple lines on drawings.

Construction of our new addition+remodel project on Lake Huron is now underway. The house was a challenge as most of the original walls, floors, and roofs were crooked, as one might expect of a 80 year old structure. So we added onto the north west and south to enlarge it and to develop straight planes. The south addition is rotated clockwise to better view distant Charity Islands. Look for future posts to see how this project progresses.

Congrats to The Collins Off Main for recently hosting a debut of 2022 Volkswagens at their new event center here in Chelsea, Michigan - chelseamich.com. Congrats also to our client Stadium Development LLC for persevering thru the arduous process of rehabilitating a former run-down factory building into a new show piece for Downtown Chelsea–which is currently being sought to host gorgeous weddings and national level events!

Our Story

Scott grew up with a small hammer in one hand and a mini T-square in the other: ready at a moment’s notice to plan and build the next tree fort. Through fort-building and other related research during elementary, middle, and high school, he discovered that things can be designed and drawn in much less time than it takes to build them. Thus, he realized architecture would allow him to cover more ground than carpentry. After completing a B.S. in Architecture at The Ohio State University and a Master’s in Architecture from the University of Michigan, Scott set out to leave his own mark on the built environment and began gaining experience working for a series of architecture firms, each specializing in a different approach to the field. In 1994, Scott started his own firm beginning with a single new house project. Dangerous Architects, P.C., provides an energetic, hands-on approach to every project under the careful eyes of an architect/builder. Dangerous Architects is a full-service architecture firm serving southeast Michigan, committed to excellence in design and service.
