How did you spend your Earth day?
We tried to honor the planet, past and present by tending cemetery plots and attending museum workshops. The regular season programs begin this Friday at our favorite place!

We want to thank all trustee members of the Chester cemetery especially our friends Rich Bellemore and Liz Liacos for tending to our town’s heritage. Our little plot of a dozen unknown graves was lost to the woods before Rich rescued the headstones from under a fallen tree. We planted Anemone, which means “forsaken” in the language of flowers to remind us to keep the stones from falling to ruin again. It is quite the little curiosity for us and we look forward to finding out more historical information to share. Rest in Peace, Neighbors.

Beaucoup butterflies before but not a single monarch on our Milkweed crop in years till just last month. We gave our found caterpillar the only child treatment, hovering & smothering at every stage and keeping literal tabs; placing a tracking sticker on to monitor the winter pattern. Can’t wait to hear where Harris Conservation Center reports our “Morphan Annie” gets to! If anyone has captive caterpillars, message us about our extra tracking stickers.
