We’re excited to spotlight the Jeronimus Cottonwood. This selected cultivar (known for its straighter, more upright habit and absence of seed cotton) is a standout addition to any landscape.

Plant of the week: Sensation Box Elder Maple (Acer negundo 'Sensation')

Want a shade tree that turns red in the fall, but haven't had luck in the past with maples? Sensation Maple might be the solution for you.

Some maple varieties, like Acer rubrum and Acer saccharum (Sugar Maples), can be challenging to keep healthy. They're tough enough to handle our cold winters, but our elevation and soil don't always play nice with them - they often need extra TLC. The Sensation Maple, on the other hand, is a stand out! It's well-adapted, commonly used in our area, and much more likely to do well where other maples haven't. Sensations are the male clones of Boxelders with more controlled growth, improved branch structure, and (most noteworthy) brilliant red leaves in the fall!

If you're looking for an easy option for fall color, this one's definitely worth a try. 🍁

Agastache, Hyssop, or "Hummingbird Mint" is a fan favorite for - you guessed it - hummingbirds (as well as butterflies & bees!)
