Lately… it’s been all about projects in progress, sourcing, and finding inspiration everywhere. And I have to say, Crying Tiger 🐯 has one of the best restaurant bathroom designs I’ve seen. If you’re into interiors, it’s worth checking out. ✨

Some spaces become more than beautiful rooms. They become a reflection of a life, a friendship, and the trust that made them possible.

We began designing this space just months before an unexpected goodbye. I’ll never forget how excited my client and dear friend was to surprise his wife with a transformed bathroom. It had long felt outdated, and he wanted to create a place of peace, comfort, and quiet mornings.

This project became so much more than a bathroom. It became a reminder of a friendship I’ll always cherish and a man I’ll never forget.

This one will always hold a special place in my heart. ♥️

Hi, I’m Mandy.

I’m the founder and principal designer of VELUS INTERIORS.

When I first began my career, I thought design was about creating beautiful spaces. Over the years, I’ve learned it’s really about people.

Design has given me the opportunity to meet incredible clients, build meaningful relationships, collaborate with talented professionals, and become part of communities I may never have known otherwise. It has shown me how thoughtfully designed spaces can bring people together, foster connection, and positively impact the way we live every day.

Creating beautiful homes will always be important to me, but the relationships built along the way are what I value most.

Only last month, we were still talking, checking in, and doing what we always did as friends.

Spencer, you were one of the kindest souls I have ever known. A man of God, gentle, genuine, and full of love for the people around you. Your friendship was a gift, and I will forever be grateful for every conversation, every laugh, and every moment we shared.

Looking through these call logs reminds me how often we stayed connected. I never imagined those calls would become memories so soon.

My heart is broken, and I will miss you more than words can say. But I take comfort in knowing you are at peace, resting in the arms of the Lord you loved so dearly.

Rest well, my dear friend. Thank you for your kindness, your friendship, and the light you brought into this world.

What was once an unused third floor bedroom was reimagined as a tailored dressing room for him and her.

Layered materials, integrated lighting, custom storage, and a central island transformed the space into something far more intentional than its original footprint.

Her first room. And I didn’t hold back.

I wanted her to grow up in color. Not the expected version of a nursery, but something with presence. Something that felt layered, thoughtful, and a little unexpected.

I built the wall around the rug, pulling those tones through the space so everything felt connected, not decorated. It had to feel joyful, but still grounded. Playful, but intentional.

A room she could begin in, and one that could evolve with her over time.

Material, proportion, light… and a mother’s instinct behind it all.

What once felt narrow and overlooked is now open, resolved, and intentional. For our client, this was more than a renovation, it was a complete shift in how the space is experienced. Stripped back, reworked, and refined, every decision was made to bring clarity and a sense of calm to the everyday.
