PSA - PLEASE SHARE!

We have been receiving calls from Campfire victims, requesting updates on their projects with "Robert or Mark Ma, of GAUDI." They claim to be a 3-D printing company offering to build houses on the ridge for free on your property. They are claiming we are the contractor for the project and the point of contact for more information.

Please be aware that we are NOT associated with this company at all. They have been handing out our business cards and sharing pictures of our office. If you see these people on or around your property, please report them to the building department and authorities. Thank you!

We express our condolences to those who have been mislead by this person. Though we do not offer 3-D printing Architecture, we take great pride on our continued commitment to rebuilding the ridge. 🏠🏡🏘

POSITION: Drafter Full-Time (40 hr/wk) / Hourly / Benefited

LOCATION: Gary Hawkins Architect, Chico, CA
COMPENSATION: Dependent upon Experience

JOB DESCRIPTION: We are an architectural firm looking to hire a drafter/CAD operator with a year+ experience working with AUTOCAD or similar programs. We are seeking someone that demonstrates skills and a desire for the field of architecture. We do a wide range of commercial and residential projects throughout Northern California and are looking to add to our existing staff. This position includes drafting and office support for various types of construction. You will work under the supervision of our senior drafting staff and licensed Architect.

Responsibilities will include project site visits, measuring as-builts, drafting using AUTOCAD or DATACAD programs, large-format copies, client communications, computer skills using MS Office software, and basic office tasks. This position will involve working with multiple agencies, jurisdictions, and industry professionals throughout the design/construction process.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS: Potential hire must demonstrate design experience proficiency or basic knowledge in AUTOCAD or DATACAD; be self-motivated, and able to work independently to complete projects on time; have professional communication skills both verbal and written, proficiency in MSWord and Excel like programs, and a valid CDL with transportation. 1-2 years’ work experience under a licensed architect is preferred but not required. On the job training will be provided to support drafting continuity across all projects currently underway.
