Looking into to some new equipment, so time to move some stuff.
Damascus folders lighter one is spalted hackberry. Darker is blood wood.

7 years ago I made a knife for my CWO4. I was just into blade smithing for maybe a year. The comment was made “do I get one when I make CWO5” Well I fell through on my end. Fast forward to yesterday on the day of his retirement with 30 years of service. That promise was fulfilled. 30 layer core for each year he was in. Flanked on each side with 249 for how old the Marines are. And separating the two is a layer of pure nickel, and that’s the extra for Chesty. Enjoy retirement Sir.
